OUR FOURTH YEAR of the Schumann Chamber Series continues the complete piano, vocal, and instrumental chamber music of Robert Schumann with selections of works by Clara Schumann. The series features such well-known works as Dichterliebe and Liederkreis, along with lesser-known works, such as Bünte Blätter and Clara Schumann songs.

All performances will take place at Emmanuel Church, 15 Newbury Street, Boston, where Emmanuel Music is the Ensemble-in-Residence. Each performance features members of the Emmanuel Music family of musicians, all renowned for their musicianship and for the collaborative ensemble playing that explores the music with a sensitivity and emotional depth that have won critical accolades and a loyal audience.

Dominique Labelle has cancelled her appearance at the Emmanuel Music Schumann Chamber Series on Sunday, March 30, due to the flu.  She will be replaced by longtime Emmanuel Music soprano, Jayne West, who will perform Leiderkreis, Op. 39 with pianist Robert Merfeld, as scheduled.
