Annual Appeal

October 2006

Dear Friend of Emmanuel Music,

You may already know that we are not your typical arts organization.

But you may not know why.

  • Emmanuel Music offers substance and depth.
  • We challenge our listeners with rarely heard repertoire.
  • Our music resonates and communicates because our family of over 200 musicians draws on years of playing together in repertoire. This is not sight-reading; this is honest, compelling music making.

At Emmanuel Music there is always something new to discover. This season, for example, offers a rare opportunity to hear concert opera performances of Handel's entire Ariosto trilogy: Orlando (1733), Ariodante (1734) and Alcina (1735). The third year of our Schumann Chamber Series may introduce a piece that is entirely new to you, or it may uncover an overlooked detail from a familiar work.

Our subscriptions sales are strong, our audience continues to grow, and we are reaching a broader public than ever before. Our funding sources are diverse, and with your support, we will continue our unbroken record of black-ink finances.

Experience the difference by making a difference. Your support of Emmanuel Music's Annual Appeal ensures that our music will continue. We deeply appreciate your consideration.

Sincerely,

Marion Bullitt
