Emmanuel Music has always been a family of communities, knit together by the common love of outstanding classical music. Alongside talented musicians, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic ticket buyers, we are proud to embrace the many individuals who generously donate in support of Emmanuel Music's mission. Whether it is $50 or $5,000, each gift is invaluable in helping us achieve the financial security we need to continue to present the most inspiring music at the highest level.

Over half of our annual income – almost 60% – comes from charitable contributions, and now more than ever we are dependent on the generosity of the Emmanuel Music family for our survival.

You can help by making a gift in one of the categories listed below.

THE ANNUAL APPEAL is the yearly request for basic operating support.

THE HERCULES SOCIETY was formed in 1999 to underwrite Emmanuel Music’s performance of Handel’s Hercules. Since then, the Society has supported a concert performance of an opera or oratorio each year. This year, the Hercules Society will have a greater role and will share in an even greater honor than in previous seasons. For the first time, Emmanuel Music will be presenting three major concert operas -- Handel's Ariosto operas, Orlando, Ariodante and Alcina. We are dedicating the entire Handel Opera Festival to the late Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, the beloved Emmanuel Music mezzo-soprano who shared her artistry with us throughout her career. Support from the Hercules Society will help meet the full expenses of this ground-breaking season. Benefits vary by level, but include priority seating, acknowledgement in our programs, and an invitation to a special post-concert reception with the cast and orchestra.

Hercules Society Member (underwriter of $1,000) Two tickets to one of the Handel operas, listing in all concert programs as a member of the Hercules Society, and an invitation to a special post-concert event with Craig Smith and the Emmanuel Music soloists.

Augean Stabilizer (underwriter of $2,500) Four patron tickets, listing in all concert programs, an invitation to a dress rehearsal, and an invitation to the post-concert reception.

Pillar of Hercules (underwriter of $5,000) Entitled to all of the above benefits and an invitation to dinner in a private home with the soloists and Craig Smith.

CONCERT UNDERWRITING Each Bach cantata and each Schumann chamber concert can be underwritten by you for $2,500 per performance. The donor will be given credit as underwriter in Emmanuel Music programs throughout the year. For underwriting of major concerts, please call Deborah Hoover, Director of Development.

THE YOUNG SOCIETY named in honor of Priscilla Young, long time benefactor of Emmanuel Music identifies those donors who pledge $10,000 or more each year for three years. Membership in the Young Society will help to ensure financial stability for the organization and allow Emmanuel Music to perform music at the highest level. The contributions may be designated for Annual Appeal, Hercules Society, concert underwriting or commissions and are cumulative.
