Bach is Back at Emmanuel!
Emmanuel Music Announces 2009-2010 Bach Cantata Series Schedule
John Harbison, Acting Artistic Director and Michael Beattie, Associate Conductor, have programmed Emmanuel Music’s 2009-2010 Bach Cantata season, which begins on Sunday, October 4 with Associate Conductor Michael Beattie conducting BWV 117: Sei Lob und Ehr dem höchsten Gut. The Cantatas are presented as part of the Sunday liturgy as Bach intended, at 10:00 AM on Sunday mornings at Emmanuel Church, 15 Newbury Street, Boston, where Emmanuel Music is the Ensemble-in-Residence.

Second Annual Fall Open House

Free and Open to the Community
On Saturday, October 3, 2009, Emmanuel Music and Emmanuel Church, joined by Boston Jewish Spirit, will open their doors to welcome friends old and new to the second annual Fall Open House from 10 am until 1:30 PM, with tours, displays and refreshments. There will be an Open Rehearsal of Sunday’s cantata at noon with the Orchestra and Chorus of Emmanuel Music. All are invited to join in the festivities.
