The Evening Concert Series: Handel’s Jephtha and Zimmermann’s Kaffeehaus

Handel's great, profound, and moving last oratorio, Jephtha, is a monumental drama of fathers and daughters, of false pride, and of epic forgiveness. Join us for our first ever performance of this masterpiece.Zimmermann's Kaffeehaus in Leipzig, Germany was the site of almost all of Bach's secular musical activities. It was there that most of the secular cantatas and concertos were given their first performances. It is in that spirit that Emmanuel Music embarks upon a series of concerts of the greatest of Bach's secular music.
