What I heard in the piece was a triumph of good over evil, but in a way that felt much more visceral than theoretical. This piece explores these ideas with lush flowers and ripening fruit bursting out of a frame made of snakes. While working on this, I thought a lot about how as humans, we have evolved these complex ideas of 'good' and 'evil' as part of our development as a species. It is something we must need to survive, or else we wouldn't have it. Beyond symbolism and human judgment, a snake is just a snake living its life, and a flower is just a flower doing the same.
