Robert Grant Bruce is a Boston-based violist whose work explores various styles and genres within the musical spectrum, while also looking for ways to move beyond the stereotype of a "classical musician." Robert is finishing up his Master of Music degree at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee after completing a Bachelor of Music at the same institution under the tutelage of Professor Rictor Noren.

Robert has a passion for performing as a chamber musician. During the 2022-2023 school year, Robert's quartet the "Hemenway Quartet" won the institution's honor ensemble competition. They had the opportunity to perform their own recital as well as take part in many outreach opportunities. In the same year, Robert competed in the Boston Conservatory Concerto Competition with Krzysztof Penderecki's Viola Concerto, finishing as finalist with honors. In his free time, Robert enjoys exercising, making coffee, and cuddling with his cats.
