1. Recitative T A - Time, Divine Providence The time, created by days and years, has brought many happy hours to Anhalt and now brings even a new blessing. - O noble time! united with God's grace. - |
| 2. Arie T- Die Zeit Auf, Sterbliche, lasset ein Jauchzen ertönen; Euch strahlet von neuem ein göttliches Licht! Mit Gnaden bekröne der Himmel die Zeiten, Auf, Seelen, ihr müsset ein Opfer bereiten, Bezahlet dem Höchsten mit Danken die Pflicht! |
2. Aria T - Time Arise, mortals, let your jubilation resound; a divine light newly shines upon you! Heaven crowns these times with grace, arise, souls, you must prepare an offering, repaying your duty to the Highest with gratitude! |

Zu deinem Heil, zu seinem Ruhm Hab ich ihn manches Jahr gepfleget Und ihm ein neues beigeleget. Noch schmück ich dieses Götterhaus, Noch zier ich Anhalts Fürstenhimmel Mit neuem Licht und Gnadenstrahlen aus; Noch weicht die Not von diesen Grenzen weit; Noch fliehet alles Mordgetümmel; Noch blüht allhier die güldne Zeit: So preise dann des Höchsten Gütigkeit! - Des Höchsten Lob ist den Magneten gleich, Von oben her mehr Heil an sich zu ziehen. So müssen weise Fürsten blühen, So wird ein Land an Segen reich. 3. Recitative (Dialog) T A - Time, Divine Providence As soon as the stars were favorable to you , O highly-praised princedom! I brought forth dear Leopold. For your prosperity, for his fame I have nutured him for many years and added a new one for him. Still do I adorn this devout household, still do I enhance Anhalt's princely heaven with new light and beams of grace; still suffering stays far from these borders; still flees every deadly conflict; still all around the golden age blooms: Than praise the goodness of the Highest! - The praise of the Most High is like a magnet, which draws more virtue to it from above. So must wise princes flourish, and thus a country becomes rich in blessing. You, O Time, for the greater prosperity of this house, have been chosen by the Lord of ages. - What do I lack in gifts of grace? - Still greater ones I have to offer. - My fame is already quite extraordinary. - To God's renown it shall be greater yet. - |

Schau an der Fürstin Klugheit Licht, Schau an des Prinzen edlem Leben, An der Prinzessin Tugendkranz, Dass diesem Hause nichts an Glanz Und dir kein zeitlich Wohl gebricht. Soll ich dein künftig Heil bereiten, So hole von dem Sternenpol Durch dein Gebet ihr hohes Fürstenwohl! Komm, Anhalt, fleh um mehre Jahr und Zeiten! - Ach! Fleh um dieses Glück; Denn ohne Gott und sie Würd ich nicht einen Augenblick Für dich glückselig sein. 5. Recitative T A - Time, Divine Providence Yet consider, fortunate land, how much I have given you at this time. In Leopold you have a pledge of grace. Behold the light of the lady's intelligence, Behold the young Prince's noble life, and the virtuous garland of the young Princess; so that this house lacks no splendor and you no timely good. If I should prepare your future welfare, then you would gain from the pole of stars, by your plea, the lofty fortune of these princes! Come, Anhalt, pray for further years and ages! - Ah! Pray for this happiness; for without God and them I could not for a moment be optimistic for you. Indeed, Anhalt, indeed you bend your knee, your fervent wishes chime together. - However, o most gracious fate! God himself looks upon these illumined hearts, upon the burning torches of these dynasty; they burn beautifully for Him in heated devotion. Upon their flame, beloved by God, an invaluable goodness descends and upon this land many temporal achievements. |

Erquicke seine Götterbrust! Laß den durchlauchtigsten Personen, Die du zu deinem Ruhm ersehn, Auf die bisher dein Gnadenlicht geschienen, Nur im vollkommnen Wohlergehn Die schönste Zeit noch viele Jahre dienen! Renew, o Lord, at every season your kindness and faithfulness to them! - The graciousness of the Most High is renewed every morning.
