Mezzo-soprano Rebecca Printz is a Brookline, MA native, and recent graduate of Boston University’s Opera Institute. While at BU, Rebecca’s role highlights included Baba the Turk in Stravinsky’s The Rake’s Progress, Hannah After in Laura Kaminsky’s chamber opera As One, and the title role in Dolores Claiborne by Tobias Picker.

In recent years, Rebecca has also performed as a soloist with Boston’s Collage New Music and Winsor Music. Before returning to Boston, Rebecca earned her graduate degree at Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where she performed as Zita in Gianni Schicchi, Paquette in Candide, and Madame de la Haltière in Cendrillon. While in Cincinnati, Rebecca also made her Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra debut as the alto soloist in Bach’s Cantata BWV 150. As an undergraduate, Rebecca studied both art history and vocal performance at Oberlin College and Conservatory, where operatic role highlights included the title role in The Rape of Lucretia.

Rebecca was a 2018 Vocal Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center, and a 2019 participant in the Marlboro Music Festival. She greatly looks forward to returning to Marlboro for a second summer in 2021.
