Join us for  in-depth conversations of selected cantatas on our season schedule led by Pamela Dellal, Director of Emmanuel Music's Bach Institute. During the course of our time together, we will listen to excerpts from the cantata and discuss specific examples of Bach's masterful use of this musical form. No prior knowledge of cantatas is required, but a basic level of comfort with classical music conventions and terminology is helpful. Participants will listen to a provided recording on their own time before the discussion, and in addition to Saturday’s rehearsal, will have the opportunity to attend the Sunday cantata presentation either in person or via live stream. In-person participants are invited to observe the cantata rehearsal in the Emmanuel Church Sanctuary at 11:30 am.This discussion is free and open to all, but registration is required.
