Boston-based soprano Samantha Dotterweich is an energetic and versatile performer who graduated from the Sacred Music Program through the University of Notre Dame in 2015. As a chorister, Samantha has performed with esteemed conductors Carmen Tellez, Simon Carrington, and this season joins the roster of Boston Baroque under the direction of Martin Pearlman. Samantha excels in both choral and solo work, recently soloing with Boston Cecilia and regularly appearing in Emmanuel Music’s Sunday Bach Cantata Series and in Trinity Church's Compline Choir. Recent solo highlights include Despina in Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte, Maddalena in Handel's La Resurrezione, Bach's Ich habe genug (BWV 82), Venus in Purcell's King Arthur, and Handel's Messiah, a performance in which she was praised for her "effortless and honest performance, floating legato, and impeccable coloratura."
