Since the founding of Emmanuel Music in 1970, John Harbison, Principal Guest Conductor Emeritus, has conducted, led and composed for our community with tremendous passion and care.  In addition to today’s motet Let not your heart be troubled, we premiere two brief choral works written for the Emmanuel community: Psalm 19 which serves as a prayer before the sermon, and Introit, as a prelude to the Bach cantata Schmücke dich, o liebe Seele, BWV 180.  We are ever grateful for John’s artistry, service, and loyalty.
