Nuri Héd

Director of Marketing & Communications

Nuri Héd is an arts marketer, composer and musician, based in the Berkshire Hills of Western Massachusetts, where she has worked for a variety of organizations in the rich cultural landscape of the region. Most recently, she served as the Director of Marketing & Communications for Barrington Stage Company, working to develop new audiences and content strategies to engage patrons in both virtual and live performances. Nuri studied Music Theory & Composition at Simon’s Rock College of Bard, and has performed as a chorister with the Berkshire Bach Society, where she also served as their volunteer social media coordinator. Over the years, Nuri has formally studied piano, violin, french horn, and guitar as well as informally exploring others.


As an arts marketer, Nuri is passionate about storytelling as a means to connect audiences with artists, and has a wide range of expertise in content creation, budgeting and negotiations, research and data analysis, and branding and institutional marketing. She is an avid reader, particularly of history, and is dedicated to actively seeking to unmake racist and colonialist structures in the arts, and about finding new ways to reach diverse audiences, especially youth, to the arts. She resides in the Berkshires with her two children, Minna and Julian, who study piano and other instruments with Nuri, love hiking, going to shows of all kinds, Mexican food, and dance parties.
