Join us in celebrating the 85th birthday of John Harbison, Pulitzer Prize-winning composer and dear friend of Emmanuel Music. John was present at Emmanuel Music’s founding and has been closely associated with the ensemble throughout its fifty-three years, composing numerous works for the ensemble, serving as Interim Artistic Director after the passing of founder Craig Smith, and now as Principal Guest Conductor.

This memorable evening will include a catered buffet dinner and live performances of John’s music. Guests will be delighted to hear a special performance of a Bach violin sonata by John and his wife, Rose Mary.

A special honorarium, the proceeds from this event will support the compensation of Emmanuel Music musicians during our 2023/2024 season. Tickets must be reserved in advance. Semi-formal attire is encouraged.
