Jack Corcoran is a double bassist based in the New York and NewEngland regions. He plays in a variety of styles with broad musical interests including orchestral music, chamber music, early music, new music, improvisation, interdisciplinary collaboration, jazz and bluegrass. Currently an Orchestra Now fellow, he attended Hampshire College and received a Master of Music degree and Professional Performance certificate from theUniversity of Massachusetts Amherst.  His principal teachers were Salvatore Macchia and Timothy Cobb.
