Violinist Leqing Wang, originally from Zhengzhou, China, has performed in major venues across Asia, Europe, and the United States, including the Berlin Philharmonie, Symphony Hall Boston, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall. A prizewinner of the Boston University Bach Competition, BU Soloists’ Competition, BU Chamber Music Competition, and the Fondation Maurice Ravel’s Ravel Prix, she has appeared as soloist with the BU Symphony Orchestra in Symphony Hall under James Burton.

An active chamber musician, Leqing has collaborated with artists such as Peter Zazofsky, Michele Levin, Michelle LaCourse, Jinjoo Cho, and Emilio Colón, and has studied with members of the Emerson, Artemis, and Borromeo Quartets. Festival appearances include the Heifetz Institute, Fontainebleau Schools, Mozarteum Summer Academy, Meadowmount, Atlantic Music Festival, Lake George, and Spoleto USA.

Leqing earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of the Arts Berlin, where she studied with Erika Geldsetzer, and is completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Boston University with full scholarship under Peter Zazofsky.
