Matthew is a sophomore studying Astrophysics and Music at Harvard College, studying organ with Dr David von Behren and Prof Peter Sykes. He is Organ Scholar at St Paul’s in Harvard Square and a Ferris Choral Fellow with the Harvard University Choir. Last summer, Matthew studied under Paul Jacobs as part of the Organ Institute at the Oregon Bach Festival. He is also an active recitalist, having previously performed at various venues in the region, such as Methuen Memorial Music Hall and Adolphus Busch Hall.
At Harvard, Matthew plays violin in the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra, conducts the Mozart Society Orchestra, composes as part of the Harvard Choruses New Music Initiative and is involved in various theatre productions on campus. Matthew holds performance diplomas LRSM (distinction) and ARSM (distinction) in violin and piano respectively.
