Over the past 3 years, William Bolin, 19, has been establishing a presence as a young emerging classical singer. A graduate of Orange County School of the Arts in Santa Ana, California, his accolades include a solo performance broadcast last spring on NPR’s “From The Top”, the 2024 YoungArts National Gold Prize Scholarship for Voice, Orange County Register’s Artist of the Year, Pacific Symphony/Opera FOCUS Award, Presidential Scholar in the Arts Semifinals, and, most recently, second place in the The American Prize’s 2025 Professional Art Song Division. The last 2 years have seen several solo recitals featuring the work of Rachmaninoff, Mahler, Schubert, Schumann, and Howells; lead opera roles such as Papageno, Count Almaviva and Sweeney Todd with the OCSA Opera, CBU Opera Theater, and Parnassus Society of Orange County; premiering as the bass soloist for the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic’s performances of Beethoven’s Chorale Fantasy and Ninth Symphony in LA’s iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall, among numerous other regional appearances as an aspiring musical interpreter. The works of JS Bach hold a special place as his earliest musical obsession. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in vocal music at California Baptist University, and looks forward to an international career in operatic and concert singing.
